Ingredient Transparency

Understand what goes into our products and why each ingredient matters

We Believe in Full Transparency

At Paripakv, we don't hide behind vague "proprietary blends" or avoid listing ingredients. We believe you deserve to know exactly what you're putting on your skin, and why each ingredient is there.

Below, we've broken down the key ingredients in our formulations, explained what they do, and backed it up with science.

Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid)

Vitamin C for skincare

What It Is

L-Ascorbic Acid is the most bioavailable form of Vitamin C for skincare. It's a water-soluble vitamin that penetrates the skin effectively.

What It Does

  • Brightens Skin: Reduces melanin production, giving your skin a radiant glow
  • Reduces Dark Spots: Addresses hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
  • Antioxidant Protection: Fights free radicals from pollution and UV exposure
  • Boosts Collagen: Stimulates collagen synthesis for younger-looking skin
  • Anti-Aging: Reduces fine lines and improves skin elasticity
  • Improves Texture: Makes skin smoother and more refined

The Science

Vitamin C works by stimulating fibroblasts (cells that produce collagen) and inhibiting tyrosinase (the enzyme responsible for dark spots). Multiple clinical studies have confirmed its efficacy in reducing hyperpigmentation and improving photodamage.

Suitable For

All skin types, especially those with pigmentation issues, dull skin, and signs of aging.

How We Use It

Paripakv uses 20% pure L-Ascorbic Acid in our Vitamin C Serum, a potent yet stable concentration proven effective in clinical studies.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid for skincare

What It Is

Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring molecule in your skin that retains moisture. It can hold 1000x its weight in water!

What It Does

  • Deep Hydration: Delivers moisture to the deepest layers of skin
  • Plumps Skin: Smooths out fine lines and wrinkles
  • Barrier Support: Strengthens skin's natural moisture barrier
  • Soothes Irritation: Calms inflamed and irritated skin
  • Maintains Elasticity: Keeps skin firm and supple

The Science

Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant—it pulls water from the environment into your skin. Our skin naturally contains hyaluronic acid, but production decreases with age. External application helps maintain hydration and skin plumpness.

Suitable For

All skin types, especially dry, dehydrated, and mature skin. Even oily skin benefits from hydration.

How We Use It

We include Hyaluronic Acid in both our Vitamin C Serum and Sunscreen for optimal hydration and skin comfort.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

Niacinamide for skincare

What It Is

Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin also known as Vitamin B3. It's one of the most researched and proven skincare ingredients.

What It Does

  • Strengthens Barrier: Reinforces your skin's natural protective barrier
  • Reduces Pore Size: Minimizes the appearance of large pores
  • Controls Sebum: Regulates oil production without over-drying
  • Reduces Redness: Calms inflammation and rosacea-prone skin
  • Anti-Aging: Improves fine lines and skin elasticity
  • Brightening: Reduces hyperpigmentation over time

The Science

Niacinamide works by increasing ceramide and fatty acid production, which strengthens your skin barrier. It also regulates sebaceous gland function and has documented anti-inflammatory effects.

Suitable For

Especially beneficial for oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin. However, all skin types benefit from barrier support.

How We Use It

Our SPF 50+ Sunscreen contains 4% Niacinamide to provide skin barrier support while protecting from UV damage.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera for skincare

What It Is

Aloe Vera is a succulent plant that produces a gel rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Used for skincare for thousands of years.

What It Does

  • Soothes Irritation: Calms inflamed, irritated, or sunburned skin
  • Hydrates: Provides lightweight hydration without heaviness
  • Anti-Inflammatory: Reduces redness and inflammation
  • Healing: Supports skin repair and wound healing
  • Antioxidant: Protects skin from oxidative stress
  • Cooling: Provides a refreshing, cooling sensation on skin

The Science

Aloe Vera contains polysaccharides that promote skin hydration and glycoproteins that reduce inflammation. Multiple studies confirm its efficacy in calming irritated skin and supporting wound healing.

Suitable For

Especially beneficial for sensitive, reactive, and irritated skin. Also great for sunburned or overdried skin.

How We Use It

We include Aloe Vera extract in both our Vitamin C Serum and Sunscreen to provide soothing and calming benefits.

Supporting Ingredients

Beyond our key actives, we use several supporting ingredients that enhance efficacy and user experience:

Ferulic Acid

Role: Stabilizes Vitamin C and enhances its effectiveness

A plant antioxidant that works synergistically with Vitamin C and Vitamin E for superior protection.

Glycerin

Role: Humectant that draws moisture into the skin

A safe, proven ingredient that ensures deep hydration and skin plumpness throughout the day.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

Role: Antioxidant protection and fat-soluble hydration

Works with Vitamin C to provide comprehensive free radical protection and barrier support.

Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide

Role: Physical UV filters for sunscreen formulation

Gentle, mineral-based sun protection suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

What We Don't Use (And Why)

We consciously avoid ingredients that are either ineffective, unnecessary, or potentially harmful:

✗ Parabens

Synthetic preservatives that can disrupt hormones. Safe alternatives exist.

✗ Sulfates

Harsh cleansing agents that strip natural oils and cause irritation.

✗ Silicones

Synthetic ingredients that coat skin and prevent it from breathing properly.

✗ Synthetic Fragrances

Can cause irritation and sensitivities. We use natural scents when needed.

✗ Phthalates

Chemicals used in fragrances that can disrupt hormone systems.

✗ Dyes & Artificial Colors

Unnecessary and can cause allergic reactions. Natural appearance first.

How to Read Skincare Labels

Understanding ingredient labels helps you make informed choices:

Ingredient Order Matters

Ingredients are listed in order of concentration (highest to lowest). The first 5 ingredients comprise the bulk of the formula.

Look for Key Actives

Check that beneficial ingredients appear early in the list and in meaningful concentrations.

Understand What You're Reading

Scientific names can be confusing. We explain every ingredient so you understand what's going into your skincare.

Avoid Marketing Hype

Just because something sounds good doesn't mean it's effective. Look for proven ingredients with clinical studies behind them.
